A meeting for interested farmers and agri business men will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday February 26 in the Party House. County agent Jim Foy says speakers will be Leon New and Marvin Sartin.

The Terry County Teen Age Republicans elected three delegates Bren da Campbell Lynn Lindsey and Angela Adams to attend the State Young Republican Convention in Dallas March 13-15. Alternate delegates are Vicki Lampp Glen Schmucker and Mary Ruth Hope.

Jamie and Kirk Addison won first prize in the elementary division of the Lions Club Tournament of Talent for a rendition of Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Jamie is seven and Kirk eight. both attend Colonial Heights Elementary School.
The Brownfield School System sponsors an adult business machines course starting Monday February 23. Led by administrative assistant Jack Pinson, the class runs 12 weeks or 24 hours ending about May 25. Sessions start at 7 p.m. at the high school, tuition $10, with room for additional enrollments Monday night.
Farmers in 15 Texas counties face lower 1970 price support due to a College Station ASCS decision reducing projected cotton yields by 100 pounds per acre for many, cutting income by up to 16.80 per pound per acre. Plains Cotton Growers Inc protests to state and federal ASCS officials and lawmakers Mahon Tower Poage.
An area farm meeting will be held at the Plains courthouse at 7:30 p.m. February 28 with farmers from the South Plains invited. A January Crosby County meeting drew over 400 attendees. Speakers are John J. Kendrick of Brownfield and D P Moorehead of Denver City.
