One Injured In Car Truck Wreck At First And Main
A Tuesday 4 25 p m collision in the northbound lane at First and Main sent Georgia Rae Sims to a local clinic for treatment and release. Preston Lee Darby drove the 1955 Chevrolet truck that hit Sims 1953 Chevrolet. the truck driver was uninjured.

Talent Tourney Opens Tonight in Brownfield High
Brownfield Lions Club presents its 17th Tournament of Talent at Brownfield High School Auditorium. Tonight features Miss South Plains Nancy Turner with balance beam act as part of a two night event starting at 7 30 p.m. each night. Winners in elementary junior high high school and out of town divisions compete Friday for a grand prize trip for four to Astro World Houston plus prizes of 30 20 and 10 dollars in each division.
