Two Charged With Murder After Sunday Shooting
Felix Garcia Fernandez and Casimiro Naranjo, both of Tokio, face murder with malice and assault with intent to murder charges after Armando Alcorta Garcia, 19, was killed and two men, Ernesto Garcia 17 and George Cisneros 19, were wounded Sunday. Cisneros is in critical condition at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock. Garcia died at Brownfield General Hospital.

Committee chair Jim Zoth and co chair Woody Swaringen lead a panel including Al Langston Hal Pirtle Robert Powers and H W Mellroy. First night features elementary division at 7 30 pm with prizes for top three and the grand prize contest Friday pits winners from three divisions. Last year’s Grand Prize winner was Mike Sims from Wellman Elementary with Alley Cat piano solo.
