Brownfield Stock Show crowns lamb swine and steer champions
After a Saturday afternoon exhibition in the Terry County Ag Barn, Shannon Paxton won the lamb division, David Bailey the swine division, and Paul Miller the steer division at the Brownfield Stock Show. Reserve champions included Denee Clark in lamb, Eric Caswell in swine, and Craig Jones in steer, with Tamara Timmons presenting trophies.

Filing dates loom for four April 4 city elections and three March 4 school elections with a March 10 Terry County Memorial Hospital Board deadline. Brownfield City Council seats four five and two at large open as Bob Davis Graham Swain Doyle Simpson seek another term. challengers include Salas Ryburn and Fernandez Jimenez. Noon Lions Plan Talent Tournament Show
The Noon Lions announce their 35th annual Talent Show in Brownfield with signups due by Tuesday. A 6:30 p.m. rehearsal is set for contestants, who compete in four classes elementary grades 1-5 junior high grades 6-8 high school grades 9-12 and an open class.

Gramm Says Feds Raise Texas Disaster Payments
