W. A. Wolf of 902 East Lake filed for one of two Brownfield Board of Education vacancies. Filing deadline is 12:01 p.m. March 8. Trustee election is April 7, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the county Superintendent's office. Wolf is Brownfield Bargain Center manager and a director of local Lions and Boys Club, active in Masonic work and First Baptist Church.

Playoff Site Sought After Noon Meeting at Brownfield High
Officials from Sweetwater Graham Dumas and four area schools meet at Brownfield High School to decide playoff format for a berth in the 1962 state basketball tournament. They will consult with Odessa district winner and determine single game or extended playoff plans and potential site. Dumas beat Hereford to win District I/AAA. Seminole Indians Clinch District Playoff Spot Over Brownfield Cubs
Seminole defeated Brownfield 97 to 62 in a District 2-AAA clash at Brownfield High School. Ken Huggins led with 16, Frank Rice 17, Tom Patton 14, and Leonard George 13 as the Indians built a 15-6 first period lead and forced a tiebreaker with Odessa Ector for a state berth.

Quartet to Attend LCC Meet Tuesday
Four Brownfield men will attend a joint meeting of Lubbock Christian College advisory and development group and board of trustees. The 11 a m session in the Administration Building will include John McCoy Crescent Hill Church of Christ minister Herman Johnson Southside Church of Christ minister Hugh Thomas Merriman and Thomas Accountants and Ross O Black Plains Liquefied Gas.
