Accidents claim two lives Friday in Terry County tragedy
Two Terry County residents died in separate high speed crashes within hours on Old Lamesa Road and near the Levelland Y. Steven De La Cruz, 22, died at the scene after a single vehicle rollover. City sees 5.3% tax rebate increase
The Texas Comptroller sent Brownfield a February sales tax rebate of 91 245.52 dollars, 1.5 percent of reported retail sales. Brownfield's share was 60 830 dollars, with 30 415 going to Brownfield Industrial Development. Meadow received 508.56 dollars, down 57.99 percent from 1998. Lamesa and Levelland also saw rises in rebates with city and development group allocations detailed. Levelland's total 156 638 drop 10.10 percent from last February.
