Brownfield Noon Lions Host 29th Annual Talent Tourney

The Brownfield Noon Lions open the 29th Annual Tournament of Talent with a Tuesday 6:30 p.m. registration deadline. Shows run Thursday and Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Brownfield Middle School auditorium, followed by a cake auction. Prizes total 125 dollars plus a 60 dollar grand prize across Elementary, Intermediate, High and Out of School divisions.

City Police Release 3 Day Report

Brownfield Police Department logs show three wrecks and four theft cases from Tuesday to Friday noon. Tuesday saw two minor wrecks and a front of Post Office accident involving a 1972 Plymouth. Police report details continued on page four.

Superstitions for March Unlucky Days and Lucky Rituals

Oak Grove PTA Meeting Scheduled for Tuesday

Oak Grove Parent-Teachers Association will convene Tuesday February 17 at 7 30 p m in the Oak Grove Cafeteria. Second grade students will perform as part of the meeting agenda. Also note a separate organizing meeting for Brownfield Girls Little Dribblers on Monday February 16 at 8 p m in the Chamber of Commerce Building. All interested parents are urged to attend.

Three Elections On April Fourth Draw Brownfield Voters

Voters in Brownfield plan to cast ballots April 4 for three contests the City Council Regional Medical Center Board of Directors and the Independent School Board of Trustees. Incumbents Pope Lindsey Sandlin Knox Hardy seek reelection with March 4 filing deadlines and March 16 to 31 absentee voting. Brownfield residents will choose two school trustees and four medical board seats with administration office handling filings.

Hance Schedules Twin Town Hall Meetings in West Texas
