King Named Ginner Of Year For 1975 At Houston Meeting
Alvin King, gin manager of Farmers Cooperative Gins of Meadow, was named Cooperative Ginner of the Year for 1975 at the 24th Joint Annual Cooperative Meeting held February 8 to 10 at the Astroworld Hotel in Houston. King praised his board for nominating him and noted his 18 years of service since 1961. Under his leadership, the Meadow gins rebuilt in 1962, reduced debt, and expanded facilities including a seedhouse, rolling stock upgrades, office remodeling, and a new NCR 99 posting machine.
