Property valuations drop in Terry County nine bodies
Terry County chief tax appraiser Ronny Burran warns of tough times ahead as preliminary 1999 values show substantial net taxable value losses across nine governmental bodies in Terry County due to falling mineral values. Meadow City is the exception with no loss. Brownfield School District falls 24.85 percent, from 340.86 million to 256.15 million, a drop of 84.72 million. Brownfield city declines 2.97 percent, from 160.82 million to 156.04 million, down 4.78 million.
