Hospital fund grows as local doctors spur donations
Terry County Hospital Fund has reached 722.50 with no inclusion of 7000 plus from Brownfield doctors who pledged all professional fees earned during the disaster. Donors include Mrs. L. Funeral Rites Held For Rule Resident Fletcher Golden 84
Funeral services for Fletcher Golden, 84, of 2061 East Main were held Tuesday at Rule Methodist Church. He died Sunday at Terry County Hospital after a long illness. A retired farmer, he had lived in Rule since 1941. Burial was in Rule Cemetery. Survivors include six daughters, three sons, a brother, 19 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

Trains Crash Kills Local Bulldozer Operator Ode Cadenhead
Funeral services were held for Ode William Cadenhead a 52 year old bulldozer operator who died early Sunday when his car parked on railroad tracks near North College and Clovis Road was struck by a train. The accident occurred about 4 15 a m and investigators said the car left front wheel over the north rail. Cadenhead’s brother Henry was in the car earlier but left to find help.
