Pedestrian Struck On Tohoka Road Injures Local Man
Gilbert Mullin, 76, was hit by a 1956 Oldsmobile driven by Lynda Ann Easley as he crossed Tohoka Road at Ave B at 7 11 p m Tuesday. He was rushed to Brownfield General Hospital with extensive injuries. Brownfield Police continue a full investigation.

Herschel Lowe was elected president and George Weiss vice president of the Red Coat Committee of the Brownfield Chamber of Commerce at a 7 am breakfast in Plaza Restaurant. Funeral services for Jack E. Fulgham age 52 were held at First Christian Church with Pastor Jack Garrett officiating. Graveside services followed at Greenwood Cemetery Weatherford. Fulgham a Brownfield resident since 1960 died 6 10 am Sunday in Brownfield General Hospital after a long illness. He worked for Pan American Oil 17 years and previously for Sinclair Oil Refining in Fort Worth. A World War II veteran and Weatherford Texas A&M graduate he was an elder in the First Christian Church and a Brownfield Lions Club member. Survivors include his wife Bernice one son James Edgar a Texas Tech sophomore two brothers Frank Weatherford and Erwin Waco three sisters Mrs Kyle Avery Sherman Mrs Lee Dyer Dallas and Mrs Fred Kebelman Weatherford Pallbearers were church elders.

Ted Turner, Welch farmer and community leader, spoke at the Four County Agriculture Workers Council meeting in the Flame Room of Pioneer Natural Gas Company. Turner discussed common agricultural problems, government programs, and the idea that farming advances benefit all farmers the next year. Attendees from Brownfield included Jessie Bryant and others.
