Kendrick Heirs Gift 10 room Home for Terry County Library

County Judge Herbert Chesshir announced that the Kendrick heirs donated the 10 room red brick residence at 301 West Tate to Terry County to serve as a public library. Remodeling will adapt the house for library use with a reversion clause if later used for other purposes.

Lions Talent Show Tickets On Sale For Feb 20 27

Tickets for the seventh annual Lions Tournament of Talent go on sale Wednesday. Admission is 1 for adults and 50 cents for students for a two night event February 20 and 27. About 40 local acts plus outside talent will perform. Contestants must register this week with screening set for February 10 at the high school auditorium.

School Problems To Be Discussed Here

A meeting to discuss academic classroom and athletic problems in Brownfield schools will be held at 7 30 p m Thursday in 106th District Courtroom. Mrs D L Pemberton urged all interested persons to attend. The open discussion is sponsored by a citizen's committee seeking long range planning for the school system.

Four Brownfield Attorneys to Attend West Texas Institute

Four Brownfield attorneys plan to attend a one day legal institute in Lubbock on Friday. Attendees include Bill McCowan Morgan Copeland Burton Hackney and Virgil Crawford.
