Murderer Sansom Given Life Sentence In Texas Case

Michael Roy Sansom was sentenced to life imprisonment in 121st District Court after pleading guilty to the June 29 murder of Toni Lavon Barron near Seagraves, Terry County. Barron’s partially nude body was found by oil-field workers. Sansom had been arraigned July 24 with a prior not guilty plea and a postponed trial.

Four Cases Given Probation in 121st District Court

Four cases heard Monday in the 121st District Court resulted in probated sentences. Danny Guerra pled guilty to burglary and received a three year suspended sentence with probation. Jamelee Finnenen pled guilty to possession of a prohibited weapon and got a three year suspended sentence with probation after waiving jury trial. Ricky Serbantez received a three year suspended sentence for burglary with probation after a guilty plea. Benito Reyna Vera pled guilty, waived jury, and was sentenced to seven years suspended with probation.

Godspell Tickets Available for Brownfield Show

Tickets remain for five Brownfield High School Theatre Arts Department performances of Godspell. Show dates include Saturday February 7 Monday February 9 Tuesday February 10 Thursday February 12 and a benefit performance for the See Godspell.
