Brownfield Council OKs Wind Power Deal After Closed Session
The Brownfield City Council approved a settlement with Texas Wind Power Company after a 30 minute closed session. The city will pay 208,250 plus 76,225.88 in attorney fees from the budget. Mayor Nancy Wade released a statement detailing a 1997 power purchase deal for six wind turbines generating electricity in Brownfield and Lubbock.
