Brownfield Bands Advance To Area All-Region Honors
Brownfield High School Spirit of the Plains Band had 26 students compete at the regional ATSSB event in Brownfield. Advancing to area are Maclynn Locke Jenee Willis Bridget Henderson Paige Fletcher Aaron Stewart John Brocklehurst James Panda Rachel Dominguez Amy Briscoe Justin Britton Mark Perez Steven Locke Amber Langehennig. 11 others made All-Region. concert for All-Region and All-Area groups set January 21 at Brownfield Middle School Auditorium with free admission.

Brownfield Council OKs Chamber Budget for Hotel Motel Tax
Brownfield City Council approved a 51,675 budget from the Chamber of Commerce Hotel Motel tax for tourism promotion, up from 47,300 last year. The vote was unanimous. The council also accepted Waste Processing Equipment of Ransville Alabama bid 7,195 for a cardboard baler and will apply for SPAG grants for recycling funding.
