Cubs Claim Stanton Tourney Title
The Brownfield Cubs won the Stanton Invitational basketball title with a 57-56 championship win over Reagan County after earlier victories over Midland JV 73-70 and Tahoka 66-50. Four players reached double figures in the final, led by Fisher with 16. Burran returned to score 9 in the Midland game and 21 in the Tahoka rematch as Brownfield improves to 8-5 with a four game win streak. The team next plays Lubbock Christian before the Christmas break and Lamesa Tournament at year end.
