In a 10 minute emergency session at City Hall Brownfield City Council approved a one dollar per year month to month lease allowing Brownfield School District to use the vacant CRTC facility at 1202 Seagraves Road. The move follows a fire at Brownfield Intermediate School.
The plan shifts PE to 4 pm for Posey and Rushing while other classes stay at regular times at 10 am. Fifth graders ride buses from Intermediate Campus to the CRTC Building by 7:35 am with breakfast at the campus cafeteria. Principal rotation, room assignments, and program suspensions are noted along with meals and care for the Intermediate Campus.
The Brownfield Industrial Development Corporation board will convene in regular session on Monday December 10 to review the agenda items. Discussions will include December sales tax income and incentives for Southwest Guar and dairy sectors.
