West Africa cafe named after Duane Moss in Brownfield heritage
Kendall Moss, a Brownfield High graduate and U.S. State Department diplomat, funded the reconstruction of a Kankan cafe after it burned. Abou renamed the cafe the Duane Moss Cafe to honor Kendall’s father, Duane Moss, a longtime USDA district conservationist from Brownfield. The cafe serves African food and soft drinks, with no alcohol, reflecting local customs.
