Holiday safety tips from Brownfield police and local sheriff
Forgeries prompt extra precautions as shoppers jog through holidays. Call security if something happens. Don’t overload with packages or leave keys in cars. Take carbon copies of credit cards. Avoid leaving gifts in sight and report strangers or suspicious cars to Brownfield Police or Terry County Sheriff. Inform children about travel plans and arrange house watches. Notify authorities if pets will be home alone and arrange newspaper pickups. Warn kids about strangers and even Santa Claus if his presence seems off.
