City records show Brownfield issued 17 building permits in November totaling 169 820 dollars. Year to date permits reach 2 409 111 dollars, well below November 1983 483 000 dollar figure. Eleven month 1983 permit total also exceeds this year.

The search for Terry Vandivere, a 24 year old from Terry County, continues across Sundown to U.S. 385 and Farm Road 1585 to Needmore after he disappeared near Brownfield. Mexican nationals linked to the case are discussed, with authorities urging prior contact before searches and a $10,450 reward offered by local businesses and individuals.
