Rev Alton West accepts the pastorate of First Baptist Church in Tokio after resigning from Key Baptist Church in Dawson County where he served eight years at Johnson Baptist Church. The Gomez Baptist Church observes a Week of Prayer themed A Living Sacrifice led by the Woman's Missionary Union. Afternoon programs from 3 to 4 p m at the church prepare for the December Lottie Moon Christmas Offering to fund foreign missions. Mrs Bill Hall chairs, with Mrs Harvey Knight guiding prayer. The Y W A and G A youths will present the program Wednesday night under Mrs Jack Thompson. The Lottie Moon effort supports Southern Baptist foreign missions and the Week of Prayer aims to deepen members understanding of gifts and missionary needs.
