Cubs Hold On For 2018 Win Over Shallowater Mustangs
Brownfield fans celebrate as the Cubs edge Shallowater 20-18 at Cub Stadium to start the season 1-0. The defense stymied a last minute Mustang push after a 66 yard punt return in the third quarter, sealing the victory and marking a rare win over Shallowater in recent years. The win comes behind a two-step, one-step progress pattern for the Cubs, with coach Kevin Pittman calling it a major program victory for Brownfield and its city.
