Brownfield Cubs prep with returning All-District defenders
Brownfield fields an almost rebuilt defense in 1994 behind three returning starters Rusty Pickett Shawn Dobson and Jerome Morin all on the First and Honorable Mention All-District lists. Coach Eddie Hooper emphasizes an aggressive 4-3 scheme with depth across the linebackers ends and secondary and notes Pickett shifting to end to maximize speed. Roosevelt Denver City Slaton cited as top district rivals as preseason polls place Brownfield in the thick of 5-3A race.
