Old Settlers Pioneers Association Formed in Terry County
Twenty five years ago locals organized the Terry County Pioneer's Association at a February meeting in the Terry County District Courtroom. The first president was W.A. Bynum with Duke Pyeatt as vice president and Mrs A J Bell as secretary treasurer. The inaugural August basket lunch picnic drew 273 attendees with a 350 cap, featuring Dea Parker tap dance, piano by Mrs Oden Miller, and the Stephenson brothers from Lubbock.
