Center Faces Shutdown Over Funds At Brownfield
The Brownfield Senior Citizens Center may close after August if funding cannot be secured. Director Jean Renfro says the center needs about $7,000 monthly to operate, serving 1,100 meals and offering rides, activities, and social programs. Budget relies on SPAG 37,000, United Way 10,000, and local support, with private donations dwindling.
