Hang Gliders Gather for Big Spring Open Event
At Terry County Airport crowds of hang gliders from across the world arrive for the Big Spring Open. Competitors from Austria, Australia, Colombia, Japan, and South Africa join local pilots in a multi town event that showcases floating flights up to 9 000 to 10 000 feet. Participants describe hang gliding as a pure hobby driven by passion and skill as they prepare for more days of flights.
