Union School District Names New Superintendent Tom Alvis
Union's new superintendent of schools, Tom Alvis, brings 32 years of experience and enthusiasm for the job and will also serve as principal for grades K through 12. A native of Haskell, he previously was middle school principal at Coahoma and earlier superintendent at Lueders near Abilene.

Brownfield Meadow Wellman and Union students begin 1994 95 registrations this week with Brownfield high school hosting all high school registrations on Tuesday for seniors and Wednesday for juniors seniors from 8 15 to 9 45 am juniors 8 15 to 9 45 am sophomores 10 15 to 11 45 am freshmen 1 30 to 3 pm. Photos and packets priced from 7 to 14 with parking spaces offered for 10. Parent reminders cover birth certificates immunizations and first day Aug 16. A faculty meeting Aug 15 at 8 15 am in the Middle School Auditorium with 7 45 am coffee.
