Seed Breeders to Discuss New Triticale at Public Meeting
A public meeting on triticale, a cross of wheat and rye, will be held at 2 30 p m on August 14 at the Holiday House 1301 Tohoka Road. Cotton crop outlook improves for Plains counties
Plains Cotton Growers and the Lubbock Cotton Exchange project a 1.84 million bale harvest for 25 High Plains counties, about 450000 more than 1969. Terry County may reach 111000 bales from 149000 planted acres with 146000 in use, totaling an estimated value near $338 million including price supports and lint and seed.

The Terry County Chapter of the West Texas TB and RD Association will convene at 10 a.m. Friday in the South Plains Health Unit at Main and D Streets.
