They will consider Lt Richardson's appointment as director of the Canadian River Municipal Water Authority and hear John Williams on salinity control and potential underground water source acquisition. They plan to discuss House Bill 859 on confidential utility records and changes to the electric rate fuel component, plus bids for a city farm lease. They will review a Texas Community Development Program grant and approve a dual left turn lane with the Texas Department of Transportation at Lubbock and Tahoka roads.
Brownfield native Ann Willis, a 1962 BHS graduate, has served as Terry County Clerk since 1985 and has been re elected twice, juggling duties as keeper of the records and elections administrator while guiding marriage licenses deeds and vital certificates and leading multiple boards.
A BISD faculty meeting is set for 8 15 a m in the Middle School Auditorium with new staff introduced and remarks by Superintendent Dr John Dosher. The calendar lists workdays in service days and holidays through Labor Day including student start Aug 17 and Labor Day Sept 6 plus coffee at 7 45 a m.
