West Texas redistricting risks rural House seat
The Texas House redistricting map released by Chairman Delwin Jones could merge much of Rep. Gary Walker's district with Rep. Carl Isett's District 80, prompting a potential 2002 pairing. Walker says census slow growth forced West Texas redraw, risking loss of rural representation. Isett plans to run in District 84 if needed.
