Taxpayers reminded of exemption deadlines in Terry County
Terry County residents have one week left to file for exemptions on 1983-84 school and county taxes. Chief Tax Appraiser J O Burnett Jr says must file and include homestead, over-65 and disability exemptions before May 2 at the tax appraisal office. Farmers may also apply for productivity value or agricultural use valuation if land has been in agricultural use for three years and owner’s main income, and must file annually with a sworn statement.

Brownfield High School will send its one act play cast plus regional winners of four individual UIL events to Austin for state competition. The one act play Ethan Frame, directed by Lou Lindsey, qualified for state for the third year. Addison and Milburn earned regional all star cast honors. Davis, honorable mention.
