Cubs rally past Denver City in district win
Brownfield improves to 2-2 in District 3-3A after a five run fifth inning to beat the Denver City Mustangs 6 3. Cip Contreras struck out 11 in seven innings as Brownfield erased a 3 0 deficit with a late rally. A Jeremy Franco double and timely hits plated the go ahead and insurance runs, with Brownfield set to close the half district schedule Friday at Lamesa.
