Organ Given by George Rheman Dedicated Sunday

A Sunday evening dedication at The Methodist Church in Brookshire unveiled a new Hammond electric organ donated by Mr. and Mrs. George A. Rheman Sr. The presentation by Mr. Rheman followed by a prayer of dedication featured performances by Mrs. Whit Bains Jr. and Mrs. Milton Schmidt.

Pest control salesman canvasses community in Katy

A. J. Cooper of Cooper Peat Control Co. visits prospective customers in the area. He claims to have licenses, permits, and proper equipment and shows contracts with large firms as proof of his work. He noted spraying at the Katy football field and grounds before Friday night’s game.

Pastry Demonstration At Katy Home Club

The Katy Home Demonstration Club met September 18 at 2 p.m. in Mrs. Dick Freeman’s home with Mrs. Lloyd Hutsinger presiding. Mrs. J. M. Buchanan and Mrs. John Morrison demonstrated pastry and pie fillings while caring for pastry cloths and utensils. Hostess served cookies and frosted cakes. visitors included Mrs. Stanberry Denny Newman Whitacre and Copley. New officers for 1951 named: Mrs. George Nelson president Mrs. Benny Metzer vice president Mrs. E. E. Pearson secretary-treasurer and Mrs. Clyde Lusk council delegate.
