Emil Vasek Passes Away Suddenly
Willie Mikeska learned Emil Vasek died suddenly at East Bernard Hospital after a heart attack on Monday morning. Vasek of Orchard had been hospitalized since Saturday. he had been improving before his death. Survived by his wife a son Gene his father and several sisters and brothers.

Funeral Services Held For Tim Jack Balke
Tim Jack Balke funeral services were held in Sealy on September 22 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. A C Liefer officiating. Balke, born August 22 1914, died September 20 after years of ill health. He is survived by two sisters and two brothers. Interment followed at Sealy Cemetery. Milton H Schmidt Funeral Home directed.

The First Baptist Church of Brookshire broke ground Sunday for a new building with Mrs Avery and Mrs Barnum turning the first dirt. Walter Weinman Injured in Horse Riding Accident
