The Addicks Steers will play Santa Fe at Dickinson Thursday night September 20 with an 8 30 p m start marking the 6 man football season. A complete schedule will follow as Maynard Schulz Jr and Stanley Golbow enter Schreiner Institute and Allen Academy respectively.

G E Bains Buried Saturday In Brookshire
Guy E. Bains 76 of Brookshire died in a Houston hospital at 11 55 p m Thursday. He is survived by his widow two daughters two granddaughters one brother and a host of relatives. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 30 at the Brookshire residence with Reverends Voyles and Sadler officiating. Pallbearers included J D Cooper Jr W D Bains EF M Huggins Jr Brooks Morgan R W Avery and Hal Riggers. Burial followed in Fulshear cemetery. Musk e & Son directing.

Brookshire school opened last Monday with more students than in years. Rev Sadler led the invocation and spoke on the opportunities of students in a world at peace. Mrs. Fred Wiesner joined as new teacher for third and fourth grades. PTA invitations were extended to support a better school and community.
