The piece attacks AB over a proposed audit extension back to 1916 as political retaliation for prior disclosures in 1923. The Lutheran Church at Pattison will hold its annual Mission Festival next Sunday September 2 with morning and afternoon services in German and English. Dinner and lunch will be served and the public is invited. Pastor M. J Scaer conducts the event.
Miss Pollybelle Sartain returns from Austin where she visited Judge and Mrs. J. D. Harvey. Houston visitors Mrs. BR. Urban and Miss Lucy Sartain spent a day here. R. A. Stevens visited Dallas and returned with his mother Mrs. Harvey and her daughters. Ming Hettie Kosh visited Bryan relatives. Lee Fowler and Eva Eckels attended events in Houston. Local residents Reed Betka and family hosted visitors from Hockley and Brookshire. Multiple residents spent Sundays with relatives in Houston, Bryan, Navasota, and Austin.
Damen Dewitt Cooper left last Sunday for Houston to enroll in a school session.

Last Monday Brookshire School opened the term 1925 26 under favorable auspices. Attendance on opening day reached 78, slightly below last year, with more to enter later. The staff is entirely new, headed by principal Miss Alice Boeteche and assistants Miss Engle King Miss Sheffield and Miss Tryon.
W A Boyett of Bryan appears on the subscription list. Misa Allie Mac Newell returns to San Antonio to resume teaching. J W Martin renews The Times. Dorrance Kelly leaves for Navasota High School. Maurice Kelly goes to Austin for university studies. Ed Rapsilvn coats W D Mills residence. R J Ferguson and wife visit Houston with their child Ilene.
