Services Held For Ruben Mathews November 22
Funeral services for Reubin Alfred Mathews were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Addicks with Reverends Earl Whitfield and Bill Brinegar officiating. Burial followed at Wharton City Cemetery. Mathews, born November 30, 1906, died November 19. He married Marie Chambliss on May 25, 1927. Survivors include son William Mathews of California, daughter Mrs. Bill McIlroy of Katy, five grandchildren, a sister of Houston, and an uncle in Glen Flora. He belonged to Operating Engineers Local 430 and had lived in Addicks since 1947.
