R Otis Mienster of Firemans Training School at A and M College will lead Brookshire Volunteer Firemen in a five week series of fire fighting lessons. The sessions run from 7 to 10 p m each Thursday at the Brookshire school with all firefighters urged to attend.

Pattison Native Charlie Jones Dies at 78
Charlie Jones a Pattison native aged 78 died suddenly at his Pattison home at 6 a.m. Saturday Nov 8. He was born Feb 13 1874 in Pattison and lived there most his life except for twelve years with Humble Co at Baytown. He is survived by his wife two sons a daughter a brother four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Service held at Pattison Methodist Church with interment at Pattison Methodist Cemetery.

The Brand of Directors of the Brookshire Municipal Water District opened bids Monday afternoon for the sewer collection system and treatment plant. Funeral services were held Thursday at Pattison Methodist Church for Mrs. Lilly May Clemons Pattison who died November 5. Born February 1, 1887 in Pattison, she was a daughter of W. C. and Mary Clemons. She married Guy T. Pattison Sr. on March 26, 1909 and lived in Pattison. Survived by husband G. T. Pattison Sr., son G. T. Pattison Jr., daughters Mary Blanche Thomas and Ruth Estelle Fronmuller, sisters J. B. Adams and R. A. Frazier, brothers Carroll and Will Clemons, grandchildren Patricia Thomas and Peggy Pattison, and many nieces and nephews. Services 3 p.m. at Pattison Methodist Church with Rev. I. J. Walden officiating. Pallbearers James Pattison, John Pitts, Johnnie Pattison, L. L. Harbison, Roy Muske, Randolf Sterling. Interment Pattison Methodist Cemetery. Schmidt Funeral Home directed.
