A group of Katy builders formed the Katy Builders Association in the Colorado Savings & Loan conference room on February 22. Olen Bachler was elected Chairman with Frank Taylor as Vice Chairman and Eric Lundsen as Secretary-Treasurer. They plan to assist in drafting a Katy building code and support orderly growth with Mayor Hudgens and City Council.

Katy Little League Try Outs Set for March 11
Try outs for Katy Little League take place at Little League Field on Saturday March 11 at 1 00 pm. Boys who played minor league last year and new community entrants should try out for the majors. Those who played in a minor league last year and will not be 18 before August 1 stay on the same team and do not need to try out. Senior division try outs will be announced after all application cards are received.

Flower Show Tuesday By Friendship Garden Club

Bids For City Well To Be Opened Thursday

Services Held Monday For Joyce Waldrip
Funeral services were held for Joyce Vernell Waldrip at the First Methodist Church in Brookshire with Rev. W. Oscar Thompson and others officiating. Interment followed at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. She died from injuries in a Feb 23 car train accident in Irving. Her four month old son remains in fair condition.
