Rugs Arrive with Discounted 9x12 and Small Accent Pieces
A mixed lot of rugs arrives with Congoleum 9x12 at 8 dollars Deltox 9x12 at 10 dollars and Deltox 27 by 54 inch rugs at 2.25 dollars. The Artcraft 287 by 58 inch pieces also listed. Prospects for crops improve as farmers plant more peanuts and sweet potatoes amid recent light showers in the county. A piano music lesson service runs Mondays and Thursdays in Brookshire at Mrs A H Muske’s home taught by Miss Alle Morrison. D Agopian donates one dollar toward weekly subscription.

Brookshire and Pattison Red Cross Drive Totals $218.36
The Brookshire and Pattison communities collected 218.36 for the Red Cross in response to President Wilson to raise 100 million in a week. Miss Willie Donald and Mrs. Anderson led the drive, sending the funds to Red Cross headquarters in Washington. full donor list to be published next issue.

Missionary Meeting at Brookshire M E Church
A Group All Day Meeting of the Women's Missionary Society of the Methodist Church will be held in Brookshire on Thursday July 5. The Hempstead Wallis Fulshear and Brookshire group is led by Richmond District Secretary Mrs Helen KE Farmer. Conference Officers Deaconess and society reps from all groups will attend. Everyone is invited to join this event focused on spreading Christ's Kingdom.
