Obituary of Mrs. J. K. Ford in Brookshire
Mrs. J K Ford nee Luganna McNair died at her Brookshire home on February 22 at 2 P M after a six week illness. Born December 10 1851 in Grimes County near Anderson she married J K Ford in April 1875. Survived by one son four daughters a stepson W G Ford she was active in Presbyterian origins later joining the Methodist Church. Her life reflected patience and Christian fortitude and she passed peacefully with family by her side. Continued on page three.

Mr Whitehead and family from Houston attended the funeral of Mrs Ford last Saturday afternoon. A rain Monday melted into snowfall that night, quickly vanishing. Miss Newell of Huntsville returned home due to illness of her brothers Bernard and Alvin with pneumonia. Wanted a good second hand wagon with 29 inch wheels. J W Avery added a new floor to his gallery. Sickness remains in the community with measles added to flu and pneumonia.

Services Sunday at Catholic Chapel
Rev Charles Zoofsehen will celebrate Mass at 8 o clock Sunday morning. Rt Rev OBE Byrne Bishop of the Galveston Diocese will celebrate Mass and preach in English at 10 o clock. Confessions will be heard Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Public is invited to attend.

Baker Dies Suddenly in Brookshire Bakery Owner Passes
Paul Michalski died last Friday at 1 16 a m from acute indigestion at age 382 years. He was born in Waller County and moved to Brookshire ten years ago where he ran a bakery and grocery. Funeral was held Wednesday at 1 30 p m at his home with Rev Richardson of the Baptist Church officiating and interment at Pattison Cemetery.
