Eden FFA Instructor Killed In Truck Overturn
Milton McElroy Eden High School FFA instructor died en route to Sealy Hospital after a pickup driven by his 16 year old daughter Beth overturned on Hiway 90 two miles east of Brookshire. Eight injured include Ronald McGuffin 14 with skull fracture and Earl Rapp 16 with broken ribs. The group was en route to the Houston Fat Stock Show with lambs when the accident occurred.

Pattison Panthers defeated Tidehaven champions 43 to end a close regional playoff opener on the Columbus court. New Catholic Church in Sealy to be Dedicated Sunday
The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Sealy will be solemnly dedicated on March 3 at 10 30 am by Bishop L J Reicher of Austin.
