Little League Meeting Set For Saturday At 2 30
A Little League meeting is scheduled for Saturday February 27 1965 at 2 30 pm in the American Rice Growers Cooperative Association office. Services Held For Brookshire Pioneer Mrs. Mozelle Avery
Funeral services for Mozelle Edmondson Avery were held at Schmidt Funeral Home on Wednesday. Rev. J. M. Hays officiated with interment in Fulshear Cemetery. Avery, a Brookshire native daughter of J. W. Edmondson and Celeste Patton Edmondson, would have turned 90 on June 2. She died Monday at her niece Jimmie Dell Tubbs home after an extended illness.

Citizens for Better City Ser Discuss Health and Sanitation
The second meeting of Citizens for Better City Ser held at Mims Restaurant Harvest Room drew 18 residents who adopted a Constitution and By-Laws. They discussed city service improvements, sanitation gaps south of the highway, lack of sewer connections, a needed garbage dump and twice weekly pickup, and stray dogs and undeveloped lots. A committee was named to study practices in similar towns and report back.

Man Dies In Auto Accident Near Brookshire
Houston man James Claude Mallette 40 was killed when his 1964 Buick overturned four times at a curve on FM Land 362 near Nelson Rice Drier. The inquest cited a broken neck crushed chest and broken left hip. He was a Houston home builder and longtime Fat Stock Show director. Survivors include his wife and six children.
