Mrs C A Wilpitz 71 died in sleep February 24 after a decade of ill health. Funeral 3 p.m. Friday Pattison Methodist Church with body at home until 1 p.m. Interment Pattison Methodist Cemetery. Survived by two daughters Frances and John Wilson, Frances Wilson at Pattison, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews. Husband C A Wirpitz died 1949. Born November 6 1888 in Waller County.

Cub Pack 370 of Brookshire held its annual Blue and Gold Banquet on Friday at 7:00 p.m. with 114 attendees including cubs, parents, and volunteers. The event honored leaders, introduced guests, and featured a 50th anniversary skit along with multiple badge and arrow point awards.

Twister Rips Through Katy Area Damaging Homes
Mrs D K Perkins and family escaped injury when a tornado struck their home south of Katy last Wednesday at about 3 pm. The storm unroofed the dwelling and scattered debris as neighbors and Mrs Charles Lambert rushed the family to safety. They later sought treatment for shock after learning of the twister warning from neighbor Mrs W A Shiller.
