The Katy High School Band will depart Katy at seven oclock Saturday morning for Huntsville to attend a band clinic. Brookshire has many children in the region and has watched its progress with a steady interest since its organization last year.
The Bank closes Saturday for Washingtons birthday observance. Oscar Schier of Sealy visited Brookshire on Tuesday. Mrs Dave Landsberger and Anna Ruth Keyler were in Sealy Tuesday. Anna Ruth Beyler and Mary Margaret Martin have taken over the Avoh products agency and will call on customers. W O DeWitta of Houston visited Brookshire last Sunday. Mrs W D Mills spent several days in Houston visiting relatives this week. Mrs J D Cooper spent the weekend in Houston at her son’s home.
Galveston area residents are listed visiting cities and returning from trips. Ed Wilpitz family Ella Highradedian Valree Hazlewood, J B Anderson Brenham visitors, Robert Avery and spouse back from New Orleans, Doris Agopian Houston visitor, Max Vander Houston business visitors, Ed Leglera homeward, Arthur Wilson guest in Houston, WB Cooper visiting Lockhart this week.
Mr. and Mrs. A O Muske and Mrs J W Avery were in Houston on Monday for unspecified business or social call.
Mr Dixon Harvey his wife and daughter visit Mrs Hi Harvey at the Gus Storm home on a Sunday. A Methodist group plans to attend the Christian Workers Union School starting in Houston this week.
Mr. Mabel Verne King spent Sunday in Brookshire while Mr. Willie Ebel, a Houston business visitor, attended in the city this week. Mr. Pete Donigan and Mr. Geo Pattison of Houston were in Brookshire Tuesday. Alvin Glick of Fulshear visited last Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Adam Bijie with daughters and Mrs. A H Muske are with Mrs. Muke's seriously ill sister in Victoria this weekend.
Brookshire Troop 316 members welcome new recruit Alvin Glueck John Dozier and cub Billy Walker from Fulshear as they prepare entries for the exhibit to be held at the Colosium next month. Senior patrol leader Stanley Rheman presided in the absence of Scoutmasters.
A car driven by Houston Negroes collided with the five twenty passenger train at Pattison road crossing Saturday evening. No serious injuries. the car was badly wrecked. Two other wrecks were reported that night with details unavailable.
The Baptist ladies hosted a covered dish dinner at noon Thursday and drew strong attendance with ample food consumed.
W D Cooper spent last week in Houston accompanying his daughter for family matters. The trip highlighted their time together amid busy schedules.
