Tax Assessor Clarke Injured in Auto Wreck
Our Hempstead Tax Assessor Joe P. Clarke was hurt last Thursday on the Houston Hempstead road when a hit and run car struck his Ford Coupe. The vehicle flipped three times, causing forehead and leg wounds to Clarke and cuts to his female companion. both were treated at Baptist Hospital in Houston and Clarke is now at home and confined to bed for a period.

Death Claims Pioneer Citizen Carl Kellner
Carl August Kellner died at his daughter Adolph com’s home on Friday aged 81 years 5 months 8 days born in Germany September 6 1848. He lived in Aus tin County then Lubbock for twenty years before moving to Sealy about a year and a half ago. Funeral held February 15 at 3:30 p m at Adolph Kveton home with R A Engelking officiating. Interment in Sealy Cemetery. Survived by four daughters two sisters four brothers and many relatives and friends.
