Program under County Council of Defense at Hempstead Baptist Church on February 23 at 11 a m. With the Hempstead Band and Congregation the program features songs by J Meek Hawkins Lucile Robertson R E Tompkins Frank H Morgan and a performance of Battle Hymn of the Republic Seats reserved for men in uniform. Dr and Mrs P M Donigan spent last week in Stevensville attending Civil Court where they won a suit over an oil land lease in Erath County involving 875000.

Letters from Evan Penny in Leutesdorf Germany dated Jan 18 and 19, 1919 describe movements from Brest to Verdun, then Belgium Luxembourg and Rhine.
