Mrs. Anna Neshyba Dies in Galveston Hospital
Mrs. Anna Neshyba mother of Mrs. Charlie Phillips died Monday February 17 in John Aly Hospital Galveston after years of ill health. She would have turned 63 on July 25. Services planned at Frelsburg Catholic Church with burial in Frelsburg Catholic Cemetery. Survived by husband Chas G Neshyba of Frelsburg, daughter Lydia Phillips, daughter Elo Evinecky, three grandchildren Shirley Ann Johnny Phillips and Daniel Evinecky, one sister and seven brothers.

Altair Dryer Inc lets a contract to E B Rapasilver of Brookshire for a Buckholts Texas grain drying and storage unit. Clemons Tigers Win District Tournament in Hempstead
Clemons High School Tigers of Pattison Texas edged Brookshire 69-68 to claim the district boys title in Hempstead on Saturday February 8. Gertman scored 23 and W L Hayes 19 for Clemons while Brookshire’s Tommy Lee Davis poured in 30. The Tigers beat Sealy 75-57 to reach the finals and topped Tomball 72-58 in the semis led by Ray Don Keys 21 and Hayes 18. Clemons also defeated Prairie View Training School 94-51 earlier, finishing the season 25-1.

A 275 foot tower at Katy becomes part of a six tower microwave relay to Houston by AT&T Long Lines. The route from Bulverde to Houston will replace Dallas Houston coaxial links and convert lines to long distance telephone service. Waveguides are being installed and service is planned for March.
