The death of Antoine Halbison occurred last Sunday night at his home near Patterson. He was 51, born in Germany and came to America at age six. Survived by a widow, several children, and relatives. Funeral Tuesday morning with interment in Patterson Cemetery. Rev. T. S. Williford conducted graveside services.

Bro C W Norris paid a dollar for the paper in 1915.
Members of the Young People’s Progressive Club enjoyed a Valentine party at Mrs. KE. OU Adams home last Friday. Games filled the evening and Miss Hawina Adams provided instrumental music. A highlight was a playful Post Office activity with tokens from “Dearest Valentine.” Refreshments included fruit salad chocolate and cake served by Mrs. Adams and Miss Ora Ford as the boys declared their friendship. Everyone expressed having a good time and hoped for another party soon.
Monday night the 22nd inst. local talent staged at the Auditorium with curtain at eight oclock. Admission is 25 cents.
Shareholders of the Waller County State Bank will meet at their Brookshire offices in the evening to elect directors. The meeting is scheduled for March 8 at 7:00 p.m. and is led by President D. B. Eos.
