Rice Growers Plan Banquet in Place of Barbecue
The American Rice Growers Cooperative Association Katy Division will replace its annual Bar-B-Q Picnic with a banquet in June after a member questionnaire. The Katy Division, organized in 1939, is the largest of 18 divisions with offices in Lake Charles and Katy handling marketing for about 350 accounts and 24 driers. Garber L. Short has led the Katy Division since 1963 after joining in 1940.
